Good Day Sunshine,
“Compound interest as the eighth wonder of the world” Albert Einstein famously said. Yes he was talking about financial investments, however the same principle can be applied to our personal energy. We all possess an amount of energy, and just like with money, the way we invest it can have a compounding effect over time.
Energy is one of our most valuable assets. It’s what keeps us moving forward, helps us accomplish our goals, and makes life worth living. However, just like money, energy can be wasted on things that do not really matter, or it can be invested wisely to bring about a great return.
When we invest our energy in things that matter, we are like a wise investor who knows the power of compound interest. We may not see immediate results, but over time, our energy will grow and multiply until it reaches an abundance.
If you invest a small amount of money consistently over time, eventually that small amount will grow into a sizable nest egg. The same principle applies to energy. If you invest small amounts of energy into positive actions consistently over time, eventually that small amount will compound into a life of abundance and joy.
My mother has gone through so much over her life, through those ups and downs she still managed to be kind and giving. Not only giving money when she had very little but also giving of her time and energy, which was mostly taken up by me as a little kid or trying to keep all the necessities of life on the table for me. Luckily I grew up and am able to take care of myself, most of the time ; ) .She her self has thrived and improved her life and I have observed how the more time, money and energy she has gained access too, the more she gives to those that need. The best part of this observation is number one how it makes my mother feel, then I see how those she has helped look and feel and this has now compounded over many years into a life of abundance. I always say that good things come to good people, and this lady is one of the greats.
It is easy to get caught up in the instant gratification of our actions. We want to see immediate results and feel the benefits of our actions right away but we should take a long-term view.
We have to be willing to do good and kind deeds with intention and direction, even if we do not see the immediate results we are hoping for. It is important to recognize that sometimes the return on our investment of energy may be small or even nonexistent at first, but over time, the power of compounding will work its magic.
Investing our energy in positive actions is not only beneficial for ourselves but also for the world around us. It is important to respect our energy and value it enough to use it wisely. Doing good and kind deeds with the intention of making a positive impact is a great way to invest our energy.
It’s true that most people say you should not do kind or good deeds with the expectation of a return. I disagree. While it is important to do things selflessly and without any expectation of a reward, it is also important to recognize the value of our energy and how it impacts us when we waste our personal energy.
When we invest our energy in positive actions, we are not just doing it for ourselves, but for the benefit of others as well. When we see the positive impact of our actions, it reinforces the value of our energy and motivates us to continue investing it in positive ways.
So how can we start investing our energy in positive actions? It is simple. Start by doing small things every day that make a positive impact on your surrounding. It could be something as simple as holding the door open for someone, smiling at a stranger, or volunteering a good deed.
The important thing is to do these things with intention and direction. Make a conscious effort to invest your energy in positive actions.
It is also important to recognize that investing our energy in positive actions is a long-term investment. It may not deliver immediate results, but over time, the return will be more valuable then the investment.
Compound interest is not just a wonder of the financial world. It is also a wonder of the energy world. When we invest our energy in positive actions with intention and direction, we are creating a life of abundance and joy for ourselves and for the world around us. So, respect your energy and value it enough to use it wisely. Invest it in positive actions that will compound over time and create a ripple effect
